Rebecca Polyblank Exhibition

Rebecca grew up in Fowey Cornwall, and after a Foundation course at Plymouth College of Art and Design, Rebecca studied Sculpture at Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology, Cheltenham gaining a fist class honours degree. She exhibited with The Nicholas Treadwell Gallery in Kent and Bradford for some years, where her work was shown at art fairs both in this country and Europe. She has exhibited widely in England, has had several one person shows, and her work is represented in select galleries in Devon and Cornwall. In March 2000 she won the Black Swan painting prize, in Frome, Somerset.
"Inspiration for my work comes from my immediate local area and its ever changing seasons. Walking the moors most days, in different weathers, reveals an atmosphere and sense of history in its ancient rocks and textured fields, the colours, temperatures, and light, constantly changing. I’ll bring back to the studio, specimens of flora and fauna, to study, draw in detail, and include in my paintings. I use acrylic paint, and also drawing ink and pencil, on paper; the lines and drawing being important to the picture, where all the marks play an essential part."

Kaffe Fassett 'Blue & White' Exhibition

'Blue & White' exhibition in conjunction with Candace Behouth, inspired by over 2,000 19th century pottery pieces, which belonged to the Cornish family of Hickman.
