Double Irish Chain makes a lovely repeated block quilt, using rotary cutting a quilt can soon be achieved, either using 3 colours only or having multi light medium and dark, the effects are simple but stunning, I am using calico background with Irish greens, finished with horses quilted in the middle for an Irish friend. Or on a smaller scale I have used Christmas trees with calico for a small Christmas hanging. Aunt Grace vintage type fabrics also make a lovely quilt.
