Cowslip Workshops Cafe

Cowslip Cafe

Just to say thank you to everyone who has supported us so well in the cafe, all the staff have tried so hard to embrace the new normal. Sitting outside is so lovely and the view is tremendous, we have now had time to sort out some tables in the barn and hang some quilts with good social distancing, a safe place to sit if the weather is bad as well as the tables in the cafe   A HUGE THANK YOU TO MAGGIE COLWILL FOR HELPING ME.

WE HAVE TRIED TO MAKE THINGS AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE, PLEASE COME TO THE BACK DOOR AND WAIT by the cow..... TO BE CALLED TO YOUR TABLE, THERE IS HAND SANITIZATION AND THE STAFF WILL BE WEARING MASKS, WHEN YOU LEAVE PLEASE USE THE FRONT DOOR AND GO UP THE PASSAGE WAY, WE ARE NOT USING THE PATH AT THE  FRONT OF THE HOUSE AT THE MOMENT.
IT SEEMS TERRIBLE TO HAVE TO SAY THIS BUT PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL IT IS ESSENTIAL TO TRY AND KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY AND SAFE. xx thank you from ALL OF US xx

food@cowslip serves light lunches, Cornish cream teas, coffee and delicious cake. Special parties are catered for including unique country weddings and celebrations. We also hold special supper evenings, which take place throughout the year.

All the food prepared is as local and Organic as possible and we try our best to cater for those with special dietary requirements, we are happy to discuss individual needs. Every customer is special to us and we delight in making you happy and relaxed.

The views from the farmhouse garden over Launceston town and castle with Dartmoor and Brentor Church in the distance are exceptional and inspirational.

Andrew and our chefs have worked with me and helped to build the Café from the outset and I am proud to offer a very high standard of local, wholesome farmhouse food.  The cakes/muffins etc. are made freshly each day and the majority of the fresh produce is grown in our kitchen garden. We are lucky to have the best local suppliers on our doorstep, including butcher Phillip Warren & Son and Tregida Fisheries who supply wonderful smoked and fresh fish. The bread is supplied by Baker Tom. We also use our own Lamb when possible which is always tremendously popular.

We are not licensed but customers are very welcome to bring their own wine (we supply the glasses) and we have a great range of cold drinks including Cornish Sparkling Water and Apple Juice from Cornish Orchards.

We pride ourselves on catering for all dietery needs so please call in advance so that we can be prepared for your visit. Please view our policy
