10:00am - 4:00pm

Summer might be approaching in this country but in some areas of the world it is cold all the year round and this course focuses on some magnificent white creatures such as the polar bear, snowy owl, arctic fox, wolf and hare who survive the harsher conditions of the north and who effectively camouflage themselves against the snowy landscape. You will build up a portrait, using Mandy’s signature textile collage style, of one of these, using only white fabrics, vintage hankies, linen and lace on to an indigo dyed piece of quilt or blanket so that you can actually see the beast! Your hand stitching will help to define the feathers or fur and the features of the creature.

Your own sewing kit - needles, lots of pins, and scissors.
