In this class you will make a wallet to store your Bernina Rulers in. This Wallet will also keep everything neatly together and will be very convenient to take to workshops.  We will use the rulers to decorate the wallet at different stage of the construction. 

REQUIREMENTS 

Sewing machine. Complete with feet. Foot control and lead etc, and with new needle.

¼” Foot.

Walking Foot. (Optional)

Bernina Rulers and Ruler foot (If you have them, I know some people have ordered them. Or you can used mine.)

Sewing kit. Including scissors, hand needles, pins etc.

Rotary cutter, mat and ruler. ( Jo has mats and rulers which you can use )

Fabric.   This wallet is made up of several sections and you may wish to make it all in the same fabric or use a selection of co-ordinating fabrics from your fabric stash. Either way looks great and its also a good way of using leftover fabrics.  So I am giving you the fabric sizes which you may decide to cut out in advance if you wish or you can cut on the day.

Inner Section.   Cut 4 pieces  14” x 11 ½”

Oval Pocket.     Cut 2 pieces  8” x 7”   

Oval Flap.         Cut 2 pieces  8” x 2 ½”

Round Pocket.  Cut 2 pieces  9” x 7 ½”

Round Flap.      Cut 2 pieces  7 ½” x 2 ½”

Outer Wallet.    Cut 2 pieces 19” x 15”

Wadding.  This will be trimmed so if your wadding is cut a little larger than stated, its not a problem.

Cut 2 pieces 16” x 13 ½”

Cut 1 piece  10” x 9”

Cut 1 piece  11” x 9 ½”

Cut 1 piece  21” x 17”

Matching thread.

5 buttons  about ¾”- 1”

1/2 metre of narrow (1/4”) elastic OR  5 elastic hair bands.
