“The Butterfly’s Ball” 2021 Mystery Quilt by Susan Smith

In January, Petra contacted me to ask about having some quilts for her shops. I

decided to make a mystery quilt, and have it also for my sewing club.

I like to use quilts and thought I would make this quilt as a quilt for my bed. It is a

classical quilt, and includes piecing, EPP and some whimsical appliqu .

My father would recite poetry and sing this poem to us when we were children. The

poem “The Butterfly’s Ball and Grasshopper’s Feast” by William Roscoe is a special

poem about the coming together of all society in peace and harmony.
