A Day with Lynette & Jo

Jo is delighted that Lynette is coming to Cowslip again after the NEC and this year Lynette has invited Jo to teach with her in the Barn, which will already be hosting a quilt exhibition “View through the Window” quilts, quilts from Lynette’s classes and Jo’s newest Block of the Month quilts, so there will be plenty to look at whilst you are sewing!

Come along and enjoy a day of friendship, food and stitching with these two talented ladies. Lynette and Jo are both designing a brand new and exclusive little project for you to work on. Jo’s is called “We are all off to the Show Tomorrow” so will be along the lines of existing projects and will combine fussy cut appliqué, stitch work and a pieced border and Lynette is still working on hers.

You will spend the day sewing with one tutor in the morning and then swap over and sew with the other one in the afternoon, so an excellent chance to learn different tips and techniques from each tutor, including appliqué and embroidery.

Come along and enjoy this exclusive workshop, the price includes kits for both projects, tea and coffee during the day and a buffet lunch served in the barn.

On the Tuesday evening there will be an optional BBQ and talk by Sandy Chandler who won at the Festival of Quilts last year. Sandy will show quilts and say how she suits the quilting to the quilt, and the different waddings that she uses. The BBQ, which will be before the talk, will include fish and vegetarian options and a simple pudding.

Requirements

A basic sewing kit including a selection of fine threads

Fine sharp scissors

Pencil and notebook

Appliquick tools and appliqué paper (if you have them) for using with Lynette

A mini light box (only if you have one, we have 3 to use)

Sewing Machine in good working order (optional) this is for some of the sewing on Jo’s, but there will be 2 machines available to borrow if you are traveling a distance.
