Janine Pope spent 6 years learning Bookbinding under the tuition of the extraordinary Maureen Duke. Not opting for the Restoration of books she focussed on making and selling her own books and teaching. She spent 4 years teaching Creative Book Structures and Paper to Textile Students, Graphic Design Students at Nottingham Trent University and Surface Design Students at Northampton University.
In 2010 she won the Society of Bookbinders International Bookbinding Competition, Best Overall Book by an Amateur Binder.
She is still obsessed and mesmerised by the joy of folding paper and making books.
