Fairisle Knitting

£95.00

2 Day Workshop

Sat, 7th March, 2020 to Sun, 8th March, 2020

10:00am - 4:00pm

Knitters will be taught how to knit with more than one colour using the fairisle knitting technique. They will be taught how to select complimentary colours, create an even piece of knitting, how to follow a chart and how to sew ends in once complete. Knitted pieces will be of traditional patterns, lettering and more modern fairisle designs if desired. Please come along with an open mind. If you have tried it before and found it hard to achieve the correct tension, got in a tangle or was baffled by the perceived complexity, then I can show you how to create beautiful fairisle patterns. Attendees can either purchase the fairisle knitting bag kit to work on over the two days, (payable to Suzie on the day) or bring along a fairisle pattern and yarn or create their own design. A selection of yarn will be available to purchase, along with scrap yarn in many colours that can be used on the two days. This course is for any knitter who can cast on, knit, purl and cast off. It is not for the beginner. You don’t have to have tried colour work before to attend
