Indigo and Weave - Kate Whitehead

My Indigo and weave workshops are focused on seeing the potential in forgotten materials. You are invited to bring your fabric/ garments that have a special story, memory or meaning, that you will dismantle and have the opportunity to dip dye and to create a unique piece of weave to treasure. A time to get away from the fast pace of our digital lives and to embrace slow craft processors.

REQUIREMENTS LIST

.Cotton fabric, long lengths are best for weaving, pre washed in non biological fabric, no fabric  conditioner.

.Yarn you would like to add to your weave, strong yarn is needed to created the warp, eg. Linen, Wool,  Cotton. You can be creative with your choice for the weft, fabric, lace, ribbon etc.

I will be providing hand made frame looms for the hand weave workshop, they are available to purchase @ £15 each

I will provide a selection of fabrics and yarns but it does give your textile piece a more personal feel if you bring some of your own

The Indigo dye vats will be provided by me @ no additional cost.
