Make a soft Lampshade

Create your own beautiful hand sewn lampshade in the fabric of your choice. You will learn how to bind the lampshade frame, make a template, cover the shade and insert a balloon lining. No special skills are needed only basic sewing and lots of patience. Available to buy on the day will be a 10” and 12” kit consisting of a lampshade frame, binding tape, calico and lining fabric.

Students requirements

70cm light weight cotton fabric (quilting fabrics work well). Try and avoid obvious horizontal and vertical patterns because the fabric will be used on the diagonal.
