Quilting with your Walking Foot & BSR
The class will start with your Walking foot and after lunch move on to the BSR. However for those who do not have a BSR then you will remain on the Walking Foot covering more options. Either way, your day with Jane will be a full one as there is much to cover.
If you have a walking foot with your Bernina sewing machine and you would like to create different quilting results, techniques and patterns, this class will help you to achieve it.
In this class you will be shown how the foot works, using the guides, creating different grid lines, combining different patterns and much more.
Learning these different techniques will give you more options to choose from when you reach that stage of your quilt, wallhanging or projects.
Quilting with your BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator).
The BSR has been cleverly designed to help create your own Free Motion designs whilst at the time ensuring your stitches are all the same length. Giving you a professional, even stitch finish.
By the end of this class you will have made a number of samples which will help you in all your future quilting projects.
This class will increase your knowledge of the Bernina feet and extend your use of them.
Students Requirement List
Sewing machine complete with lead, foot control, slide-on table, walking foot, BRS(if applicable)
Quilt sandwiches. It will save you time on the day if you want to prepare your fabric beforehand, I would suggest making them at least 13”x13” (you can get 9 squares from 1 metre, use plain calico on 1 side and a patterned fabric of your choice on the other side, add wadding and pin the corners).
Bring a little more fabric just in case you want to make more than 9 samples.
Thread. I recommend a pale thread, pink, blue or lilac but not beige or cream as this will not show on the calico.
Sewing kits, scissors, ruler marker pen. etc.
Cutting mat, ruler & Rotary cutter (Not needed if you have already prepared your quilt sandwiches)
