Rudolph's Magic saddlebag

Come and start making this totally different fun and useful bag.  There are a few new techniques to learn when making a bag.

Requirements

50cms of background fabric something like trees or a snow scene, since I made my bag we now have a lovely slightly twinkly snow scene fabric in the shop which would be great.

Fat quarter of dark night sky snowy or starry.

Fat quarter of snow fabric, I used white flannel, a snow texture of some kind.

Fat 1/8 or scraps of the following, 2 different reindeer fabrics taupe colour, fabric for the house maybe looking like wood planks, and fabric for the  snowy trees, plus darker for the tree trunks.

Fat 1/8 of silver for the moons and the sleigh

Fat 1/8 red wool for the hearts and the stockings.

Piece of fabric with small printed stockings that you can stitch around on the wool and then free cut out

Long 30cms Barbour or oiled fabric.

4m very fine piping thread.

50cms bondaweb.

Reel of gutermann silver machine thread.

35cms pellon for the front flap of bag

1.25m of fabric for the lining of the bag.

1m cotton wadding or iron/stick in wadding.  I used all my scrap pieces of wadding and I lined the bag front and the lining to make it more robust.

60” x 2” wide webbing for the strap.
