Stag in the Snow & Rosehip Garland

£70.00

1 Day

Sun, 12th November, 2017

10:00am - 4:00pm

Working with two of my original designs printed onto antique linen we will make two heart-shaped decorations filled with lavender, Stag in Snow and Rosehip Garland. Each decoration uses a variety of stitches, including long and short stitch with which we will blend various colours. While your level of skill does not need to be advanced, it is not really suitable for beginners. It would, however, be a fantastic follow-on workshop from my stitch sampler day.

Student Requirements

Those of you familiar with Caroline’s workshops will know that she brings with her a generous selection of precious vintage textiles to use in the workshops, and makes her collection of vintage and new threads for both machine and hand stitching available to all at a cost of £10 payable to Caroline on the day. You may of course bring and use your own materials if you prefer.

A few embroidery needles - I find the pink John James pebbles Jo sells are perfect.

A 6 or 7” embroidery hoop

A pincushion - we change threads frequently

A pair of small, sharp embroidery scissors

A notebook and pencil

A friction pen

A sewing machine threaded with ivory or white top and bottom. You will not need any other bobbins.

Make sure your electrical equipment (sewing machine) has been recently PAT tested.
