Travels in Textiles

£140.00

2 Day Workshop

Sat, 3rd July, 2021 to Sun, 4th July, 2021

10:00am - 4:00pm

Travel, memory and collections remind us of places we have been or would like to visit. Make a personal and meaningful repository for a special place (actual or imagined) of your choice. Working from techniques explored in her new book ‘Textile Journeys’, Anne will be using printing, fabric collage, fabric and paper lamination, hand and machine stitching. You will be aiming to complete a smaller 3D and a larger hanging piece during the course. Look through your collections, selecting old and new pieces of fabric, ephemera and decorative paper to use for your piece. It is helpful to decide on a theme or place and colour scheme before you choose your materials.  Sewing machines are helpful but not necessary.
