Warm in Wool

In this workshop you will be able to stitch a picture of your choice, mixing and matching adults, children and animals to tailor make it to your own requirements. The figures are all pre drawn for you, wearing their winter woollies so you will able to finish your picture in the day.

If you would like fabrics from my colour palette, do ask at Cowslip and they will put together a little bundle for you, I particularly love the Danish linen cotton mix, they also sell bundles of beautiful hand dyed wool fabric and corduroy which are lovely for trousers. However, there will be plenty of time in the day to go and choose from the shop together.

When you gather together your fabrics to use for the appliqué do consider using felt, it is great for boot,hats and scarves and sweaters and easy to stitch with. The other great thing to use is socks. I quite often steel a pair of my husband's stripy socks, which I buy I hasten to add!!!! as they are great for tights.

MATERIALS

Sewing Machine, please check your feed dogs are down and your embroidery foot is on.

Main Fabric for the picture

Scrap fabrics for the clothing and appliqué.

Sewing kit, threads, scissors. etc.

Needle and thread to embroider eyes and mouth.

Paper and pencil, please make sure your pencil is sharp.
