Christmas Mixed Media
The great thing about Mixed Media is that it embraces many different techniques. As well as or instead of making things with papers, you will be able to try painting on linen and then adding either hand or machine embroidery – or both.
Caroline will bring pieces of antique linen printed with her Christmas designs which you can paint and/or stitch, either to stitch to cards or tags, or use to make Christmas decorations. Whether you want to do several little pieces, or perhaps work on a whole Christmas Wreath, all the materials will be available for you to try.
Working with antique papers, fabric, paint, and other fun materials, you will make decorations, tags, place cards or greetings cards. or even a garland of seasonal bunting flags.
Caroline will bring heaps of ideas and inspiration, and her collection of materials, including paper products to decorate – such as rag cotton bags and vintage luggage tags- and show you new designs and ideas, including some new hanging birds and paper cut holly and mistletoe. Even if you have done one of these days with Caroline before, she will have new designs and ideas, and it is an opportunity to try new techniques and kit, and take time out to make some creative preparation in good time for Christmas.
