Carol Horsington

Carol has been making baskets for over 20 years now. She grows most of her willow on her farm and supplements it with willow from the Somerset Levels. She lives near Launceston, in the Lynher Valley, and farms with her partner Dave Taylor on the Eastern edge of Bodmin Moor.

Carol’s basketmaking started off as a hobby and has grown into a business. She finds inspiration from the cyclical nature of the craft, growing the willow and then making it into baskets and garden plant supports makes it a truly sustainable craft using skill and tools which have little changed in centuries.
