10:00am - 4:00pm

Come along with your sewing machine and join me and a group of like- minded stitchers and sew up the mysteries of free Machine Embroidery. Students will have the opportunity of embroidering onto the magical soluble fabric.

An original and unique fabric to use.  When all the desired embroidering is completed the fabric is submerged into water and the fabric disappears leaving only the sumptuous machine embroidery, creating wonderful 3D objects in stitch and colour. Using a sumptuous array of threads in a variety of colours, thickness and metallic sparkle and working with your own sewing machine, you will learn how to translate your original idea into a 3D master piece. Items such as jewellery pieces, bowls, flower bouquets, place mats and many other embellishments can be created in this exciting fabric medium. The workshop is designed for the novice or the more confident stitcher who wishes to explore the numerous techniques and textures created by threads and stitch, not to mention the delight of sewing and working with colour to create wonderful objects in machine embroidery.
