Farm/Allotment or Garden Picture

A one day workshop making a collaged and appliqué fabric picture inspired by life on the farm, garden or allotment. We will be celebrating your own favourite ‘patch’ of land and the animals, plants, birds, sheds and tools that are all part of growing / gardening.

Using scrap bag materials embellished with stitch to form the landscape we will then go on to appliqué birds/plants/animals etc. to bring the picture to life. Along the way there will be plenty of tips and advice on how to achieve your ideas and templates available for those nervous about drawing and design.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Sewing machine

A selection of coloured threads.

Any fabrics you think are relevant to your picture

Scissors

A small hand sewing kit: pins, needles and a few silks for finishing touches.
